Email Subscriber

GlossaryEmail Subscriber

An email subscriber is someone who has permitted a business or brand to send them regular emails. They do this by providing their email address via opt-in or subscription forms. This action is completely voluntary and only needs a little persuasion or motivation, which means subscribers are usually interested in your brand or content before they agree to subscribe to your email list. This can encourage a mutually beneficial relationship between prospects or customers and businesses.

Companies place opt-in forms on e-commerce sites, landing pages, blogs, or social media to get subscribers.

How to Calculate Your Email Subscribers

Many email service providers, including Segnivo, calculate subscribers; you can see your number of subscribers when you send email campaigns to them.

This may be referred to as your list, audience or subscribers, depending on the platform you are using.

However, when calculating subscribers, you should take the total number of people who have subscribed to your email list by completing an email signup form and subtract them from those who unsubscribed, the result is your number of subscribers.

What is a Good Number of Email Subscribers?

While going about your email marketing campaigns, you may want to know how many email subscribers are a good number to have to contribute to the success of your marketing campaigns. Still, the question you should be asking is: does an extensive list of email subscribers guarantee the success of your marketing campaigns?

Of course not; it is one of the minor things to consider, depending on the results you want to see. So, while tracking the growth of your subscriber list is essential, it is only the foundation of your marketing campaign. Other metrics can allow you to track your marketing success, such as conversion rate and revenue.

So, a good number of email subscribers is the exact amount that allows you to get your desired result. Therefore, if you get results from your marketing campaign, whether your list is small or big will not matter.
